Emergency Help

If you think you have been raped or sexually assaulted:

1. Get to a safe place.
2. Call 911 or, if on campus, call the University Police at (310) 243-3639.
3. Seek medical attention.

  • To preserve evidence, do not wash, shower, bathe, douche, use the toilet if possible, or change clothing. If you change clothing, put the clothes you were wearing at the time in a paper (not plastic) bag.

4. Contact a sexual assault advocate to accompany you to the police and medical facilities.

If you think you may be a victim of domestic violence:

1. Get to a safe place.
2. Call 911 or, if on campus, call the University Police at (310) 243-3639.
3. Seek medical attention.
4. Contact a domestic violence advocate to accompany you to the police and medical facilities.
