Each year, active staff employees with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and even 50 years of qualifying service at CSUDH are recognized at the annual Staff Service Awards ceremony. This is an opportunity for the campus community to congratulate staff for their years of service and commitment to the campus. Gifts and certificates of appreciation are presented to each recipient.

Program Eligibility
- Includes active employee groups from:
- Foundation
- ASI
- LSU
- Emergency hires with no breaks in service (i.e., continuous employment)
- Excludes:
- Intermittent/hourly employment
- Student Employee positions
Service Year Calculation
Please be aware that the Service Awards program calculations are separate and distinct from those done by the Benefits Office and CalPERS and are separate from the program calculations for the Unit 4 (APC) Long-Term Service Bonus.
"Service" is defined as full time, part-time, permanent or temporary, continuous employment.
Calculations are based on:
- Calendar year
- Includes years of service with:
- Excludes years of service with Student Employee positions
- Employment at CSUDH prior to a break in service of more than six (6) months and a day is not included in the calculations.
- Service from other CSU campuses is not included.
